“These types of things are somewhat common because a lot of servicemen and women brought them home from the war as souvenirs,” the Sandy Springs Police Department wrote on Facebook. “If anyone finds a grenade in their home, it’s suggested they don’t move the item and immediately contact 911. The item might be live or may be a dud, but it’s best to call us regardless to be on the safe side.”
Contea Fulton, Città Sandy Springs. Un residente mentre pulisce, riordina il seminterrato di casa, trova una bomba inesplosa risalente alla guerra del Vietnam. L’uomo raccoglie l’ordigno e lo trasporta presso il Dipartimento di Polizia della Città luogo in cui avviene la consegna della bomba. Gli agenti spiegano all’uomo che è pericoloso trasportare tali residuati bellici e che occorre sempre allertare il numero 911. Sul posto giungono gli artificieri della Base Aerea di Dobbins.
