Purtroppo stilare le schede riassuntive di fine anno non è semplice, è costantemente un lavoro non simpatico, molte volte nauseante, ma in ogni caso e in qualsiasi stato d’animo (gestisco questo sito dal 2006) è una incombenza che non posso evitare. Parlare di residuati come ben sanno i lettori del sito è come parlare di guerre silenziose, celate da qualche centimetro o metro di terra che continuano a creare preoccupazioni a chi è del settore: Ingegneri, costruttori, bonificatori e tutta la sfera militare impegnata nel settore della bonifica preventiva. Quando l’ordigno è rinvenuto la preoccupazione diventa emergenza per Prefetture, militari, Forze dell’Ordine, Vigili del Fuoco, Croce Rossa, Protezione Civile e per tanti altri addetti ai lavori. In pratica per una gran parte di lavoratori le guerre continuano nascoste. C’è chi le trova, chi le cerca, chi le distrugge e chi in questi frangenti deve salvaguardare ogni residente e tutto ciò non accade solo in Italia, ma in tutto il mondo. Il Capodanno del 2022 si apre con due notizie, la prima proveniente da Salerno: si tratta di una bomba d’aereo segnalata da un cacciatore e trovata su una sponda del fiume Tanagro in Località Pompeano. La seconda da Cagliari, territorio in cui è rinvenuto un residuato inesploso. Non è finita, sempre il primo dell’anno dalla Thailandia del Nordest giunge la notizia che nel territorio di Buriram (Buri Ram), l’esplosione di una mina ferisce un residente.

Gennaio

02 Polonia. Izbica (Lublin) un residente sterra nel giardino di casa e trova una granata inesplosa. Il giorno successivo l’Associazione (Denar Kalisz) in un campo del Comune di Kuźnica Grabowska (Wielkopolskie) individua i resti di un razzo V2. Il 4 in Turchia un giovane residente a Yakutiye (Anatolia) è gravemente ferito da un residuato bellico. Il 5 un comunicato della Marina Militare italiana specifica che nei 12 mesi precedenti i gruppi SDAI hanno lavorato ed eliminato oltre 100.000 residuati individuati in mare, nei laghi e nei fiumi. In Olanda ad Ouddorp (Zuid-Holland) bambini giocano con ordigni inesplosi. I giorni trascorrono, fungaioli, escursionisti, villeggianti e lavoratori di tutto il mondo che s’imbattono in ordigni di ogni tipo, peso e calibro. Il 9 nell’Oblast’ di Zaporižžja un civile è ferito da un residuato bellico. Il 10 lavorati di una discarica situata a Pisogne, tra il ferro da lavorare trovano un residuato bellico abbandonato da ignoti. In Grecia a La Canea (Creta), il cane di una signora, sterra una mina risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. In Afghanistan, l’11 nel territorio del Nangarhar, l’esplosione di un residuato bellico uccide 9 giovanissimi studenti. Quattro i feriti. Il 14 in Cambogia, a Kampong Thom una ragazza di 14-anni è uccisa da un residuato bellico trovato in un campo. 16 nel Libano del Sud, a Nabatiye esplode un deposito di munizioni, la nostra fonte specifica che non ci sarebbero feriti. Personalmente non penso che questa affermazione possa corrispondere alla verità. Il 19 in Francia a Courseulles-sur-Mer, la bassa marea mette in luce numerosi residuati bellici risalenti allo sbarco in Normandia. Stesso giorno in Croazia ad Umag, la rete di un pescatore intrappola una mina da profondità risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. Il 20 nei pressi di Civitavecchia è rinvenuta una mina anti-uomo risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. In Pakistan ad Ashar Banr Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) due fratellini trovano una granata, l’ordigno esplode, entrambi i ragazzini muoiono all’istante. Sudan del Sud, una granata uccide due bambini. Il giorno successivo in campo situato tra i comuni di Barga e Sommocolonia è rinvenuta una seconda mina anti-uomo (oggi le avremmo definite anti-persona). Altri ordigni vengono alla luce nei Parchi della Galleana (Piacenza), Nicholas Green (Bologna) e di Monza. Il 25 un signore di Torri di Quartesolo (Vicenza) vicino altare votivo, tra la bassa vegetazione, trova due ordigni inesplosi probabilmente abbandonati da qualche genio del circondario. Nel Ghana un camion adibito al trasporto di ordigni esplode. La detonazione uccide 17 persone e ferisce altri 59 residenti.  In Germania il 29 a Zwickau (Sassonia) dipendenti di una discarica trovano una granata abbandonata in un cestino dei rifiuti. 30 Stati Uniti. Nel Massachusetts continua la bonifica bellica nelle aree militari utilizzate come poligoni. I giorni passano, artificieri dell’Esercito e della Marina continuano a distruggere ordigni. Il 31 in un parco francese ad Abbeville (Somme), un cane torna dalla padrona con una granata in bocca. Ordigno scavato e messo in luce dallo stesso animale.

Febbraio

 Il primo febbraio in Argentina, nel Comune di Corrientes Riachuelo un 73-enne tenta di aprire un residuato bellico con un saldatore. Ma la bomba esplode e uccide il 73-enne.  Il 2 il Commissario Diego Facciuto, responsabile della Polizia di Chubut, rilascia un’intervista a Biografia di una bomba rivolta al pericolo ordigni bellici inesplosi rinvenuti nelle provincie della Repubblica. Stesso giorno, in previsione di un conflitto in Ucraina, i militari insegnano ai ragazzi come difendersi dalle bombe inesplose. Stati Uniti. Il 7 in Arizona a Cochise i militari distruggono una mina-antiuomo risalente alla guerra in Corea. Stesso giorno in Russia nell’oblast’ di Sverdlovsk sei tecnici artificieri muoiono per causa di un residuato risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. L’8 in Canada, nel Grande Vancouver, un residente scava per effettuare lavori alla casa di proprietà e trova una bomba da mortaio. Il 12 in Bosnia-Erzegovina, lavoranti di una discarica situata nella città di Derventa (Repubblica Serba) tra il materiale da lavorare trovano una grande quantità di ordigni inesplosi. 13 Laos, una donna compie scavi per rendere più confortevole la propria abitazione ma trova una bomba d’aereo da 500 libbre. Stati Uniti. In Scorton Neck Beach (Massachusetts), un residente mentre passeggia in spiaggia tra la sabbia nota un ordigno risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. Il 14 in Francia (Oise) In una discarica situata nel territorio di Saint-Just-en-Chaussée è rinvenuta una granata inesplosa. Il 15 in Ucraina a Kiev, l’esplosione di un residuato bellico uccide un 59-enne. nell’Oblast’ Rivne una granata uccide due civili. Germania. Il 16 nel Brandeburgo vengono rinvenuti numerosi fusti contenenti veleni risalenti alla guerra mondiale. Sul posto giungono i Vigili del Fuoco del Distretto Oder-Spree. Polonia. Il 21 in una fabbrica bellica situata a Tarnowskie Góry (Śląskie) la detonazione di un ordigno uccide due dipendenti.

Marzo

Il 2, in India nel Churachandpur (Manipur), ragazzi raccolgono materiali ferrosi, purtroppo sollevano anche una bomba da mortaio. L’ordigno esplode e uccide tre amici, sette i feriti.  Il 3 un cittadino durante una passeggiata trova una granata d’artiglieria nel letto di un torrente, in località “Mignano” nel Comune di Pieve Santo Stefano (Arezzo). Stesso giorno in Belgio a Lommel (Fiandre), tra le patate raccolte e da lavorare, gli addetti trovano una bomba a mano. Il giorno successivo un bresciano mentre “passeggia” tra i boschi di Nave trova una bomba a mano risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. Il 5 la Svizzera prepara altri piani per continuare la bonifica del lago di Ginevra. Il 7 in Perù, a Lima, una granata trovata in un campo esplode e uccide tre fratelli di 18, 15 e 8 anni. Trascorre qualche giorno: un pisano, mentre cammina in un campo agricolo trova un residuato bellico, si china, raccoglie l’ordigno e con grande tranquillità lo trasporta presso la propria abitazione di campagna. L’uomo posa la bomba all’interno di un pollaio, quindi allerta le Forze dell’Ordine. Questa persona forse ancora oggi non ha compreso il pericolo a cui ha esposto se stesso, i suoi famigliari, (galline comprese) e gli agenti intervenuti sul posto. Nel contempo a Civitavecchia è rinvenuta una mina anti-carro. A Castellina in Chianti, in pieno centro storico, un residente apre un vecchio baule a anni conservato in casa e con grande stupore trova due bombe a mano MKII americane, una bomba a mano n° 36 inglese, una bomba a mano Kugelhandgranate tedesca e quattro colpi completi cal. 37 mm HE italiani. Custodiva il baule, senza averlo mai aperto? Forse potrebbe averlo ereditato? Magari comprato da qualche negozio vintage? Domande a cui non avremo mai risposte.  Germania. Il 18 a Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), due ragazzini di 11 e 12 anni nelle acque dell’Ostorfer See trovano una granata inesplosa. I due adolescenti vengono fermati da un adulto presente sul posto. Quest’ultimo allerta subito la Polizia. In Israele, il 21 l’esplosione di una granata, trovata per caso uccide un 12-enne residente a Negev. Il 25 in Serbia a Niš, un lavoratore e ferito dall’esplosione di un residuato. Germania. Il 31 a Stendal (Sachsen-Anhalt), durante lavori di giardinaggio effettuati nel cortile di casa, una donna trova una bomba a mano.

Aprile

Il 4 in Uganda a Gulu, quattro ragazzini di età compresa tra i 12 e 13 anni, mentre percorrono la strada che conduce alla scuola trovano una granata inesplosa. I giovanissimi raccolgono l’ordigno, ma questo esplode. Due morti e due feriti. Il 5 aprile a Dresda (Sachsen) 4 ragazzini muniti di metal detector trovano una bomba d’aereo da 100 libbre. Stesso giorno in Serbia, nel territorio di Nišava un lavorante mentre lavora con una pala, sollecita un residuato bellico il quale esplodendo ferisce l’uomo. Polonia. L’8 a Legnica (Dolnośląskie) un contadino comprende che la sua macchina agricola è stata bloccata da un importante ostacolo. L’uomo scende dal mezzo e si rende conto che a fermare il mezzo meccanico e stata una bomba da mortaio. Il 9 a Ortona durante un incendio boschivo, esplodono ordigni interrati.  In zona Darsena a Ravenna, un residente posa l’indifferenziata nel cassonetto e trova una bomba. L’uomo allerta subito i Carabinieri. Il 19 nella Capitale russa, una donna anziana, confonde un residuato bellico con un pezzo di legno. La signora pensando di alimentare il fuoco acceso per bruciare foglie e sterpaglie lancia la granata tra le fiamme. L’ordigno detona e strappa via una gamba alla donna. Il 20 è rinvenuto un residuato bellico al centro raccolta rifiuti di Poirino (Torino). Il 24 in Belgio a Zonnebeke (Fiandre-Ypres) una granata contenente fosforo inizia a proiettare dardi infuocati e fumo intenso. Altra situazione assurda è accaduta in Valbasca (Como). Un ciclista pedala sulla sua mountain bike frena bruscamente e tra ruota anteriore e fogliame spunta un residuato bellico. Sembrano divertenti parodie, purtroppo così non è! Nel frattempo a Montaione (Firenze) gli artificieri dell’Esercito distruggono 10 mine-anticarro (Teller 32) di fabbricazione tedesca. Come ben sapete i rinvenimenti dipendono anche dai cambiamenti climatici. La siccità del Po, tra Pomponesco (Mantova) e Gualtieri (Reggio Emilia) mette in luce mezzo cingolato delle truppe tedesche abbandonato durante la ritirata. Il 24 a Taggia (Imperia) accade l’inverosimile. Durante lavori di movimento terra effettuati alla foce del Torrente Argentina, l’operatore di un escavatore lascia scivolare nel cassone di un camion: ghiaia, sabbia e una bomba d’aereo da 1.000 libbre. In questo caso, l’imprudenza non è da imputare a un privato, ma alla ditta esecutrice dei lavori che avrebbe dovuto richiedere una bonifica preventiva, prima di mandare i suoi dipendenti a muovere terra. In questo caso sono stati messi in percolo lavoratori, residenti, e gli stessi artificieri. Il 25 a Pavia in un boschetto situato nei pressi del Ticino, un cane, tra lo stupore del padrone, sterra e trova una mina-anticarro.

Maggio

 Il 3 in Francia ad Arras, (Passo di Calais), una granata al Fosforo colpisce un agricoltore. L’8 in Sudan Kereinik (Darfur occidentale), quattro fratelli di 9, 11, 13 e 14 anni trovano una bomba inesplosa, pensano sia un giocattolo, quindi raccolgono l’oggetto, ma il residuato esplode. La detonazione ferisce sia i ragazzini sia la madre. Il 10 su un muretto adiacente un capannone agricolo in località Sapule, nella frazione di Pancole, nel comune di Scansano (Grosseto) da un passante è nota una granata d’artiglieria abbandonata da ignoti. Su una spiaggia di Ostuni (Brindisi), un bimbo trova una granata sul bagnasciuga. Germania. un piccolo incendio investe un campo appartenente al territorio di Neuwied (Rheinland-Pfalz), i Vigili del Fuoco domate le fiamme si rendono conto che a scatenare il rogo sono stati ordigni incendiari. Il 22 nel Brandenburg e precisamente nella foresta del Wunder altri ordigni interrati, parzialmente interrati, provocano un importante incendio. Il 27 in Cambogia e precisamente nel Comune di Sro Em (Preah Vihear) l’esplosione di una mina uccide un agricoltore.

Giugno

 Il 2 nel porto passeggeri di Genova, durante i lavori di dragaggio effettuati nell’area del Ponte dei Mille, la sorbona risucchia un residuato bellico. Nei boschi del Mugello, un escursionista trova 11 bombe da mortaio. Germania. Nel Wernigerode (Sachsen-Anhalt) durante i loro giochi bambini trovano una granata inesplosa. I Piccoli reagiscono in modo corretto, allertano i genitori. Il 5 giugno da Catania giunge la prima tragica notizia: a Ragalna un operaio di 52 anni è ferito dall’esplosione di un residuato bellico sollecitato dalla lama di un decespugliatore. L’uomo è subito soccorso da 118. Sul posto giungono gli artificieri i quali trovano altri ordigni. A Salò (Brescia) un bambino gioca in spiaggia, trova una bomba e la consegna ai genitori. Ad Asiago (Vicenza) un residuato bellico s’incastra tra i denti di della benna di un escavatore che scava per realizzare una rete fognaria. Mi chiedo com’è possibile scavare nel territorio di Asiago senza procedere a una bonifica preventiva? Davvero la sicurezza di lavoratori e residenti non vale i costi della bonifica? Altavilla Vicentina: Un ordigno al fosforo da 100 libbre inizia a proiettare dardi infuocati e provoca un incendio, per fortuna subito domato da Vigili del Fuoco. Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Messina) rinvenuta mina-antiuomo. Ancora una granata abbandonata su un muretto, questa volta accade nel territorio di Pavullo (Modena). Incendio a Piazza Armerina (Enna) esplodono ordigni interrati. Il 7 nelle Filippine nel territorio del Zamboanga del Sur, l’esplosione di un ordigno uccide due bambini di 8 e 6 anni e ferisce uno di 8 anni e un 13-enne. Il 22 in Francia a Canjuers (Var), i fumi di un ordigni al fosforo ustionano e intossicano 2 civili e 5 Vigili del Fuoco, le 7 vittime vengono subito trasportate in ospedale. Il 29 in Camerun a Njitapon, due bambini giocano con un residuato ma la bomba esplode e ferisce gravemente i piccoli. 30 nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo a Ituri, l’esplosione di un residuato uccide due persone. Due anche i feriti.

Luglio

Il 7 nel Sudan, Nord Darfur, l’esplosione di un residuato ferisce sei bambini. Polinia. Il 9 a Bolesławiec (Dolnośląskie), operai durante il rifacimento della strada che unisce i Comuni di Gościszów e Wolbromowo, nello strato d’asfalto trovano una granata inesplosa. Il 10 i roghi nel Carso sloveno continuano a provocare detonazioni di ordigni interrati. Stesso problema nel Salisbury in Inghilterra. Il 15 a Guagnano (Lecce) nel giardino parrocchiale, durante i lavori per la realizzazione di una edicola mariana i lavoranti trovano numerosi residuati bellici. Genova residuati bellici provocano un rogo in zona Scarpino. Gorizia, incendio sul Carso determina l’esplosione di ordigni interrati e risalenti alla prima guerra mondiale. Vado (Bologna) bosco in fiamme esplodono ordigni interrati. Germania. Il 24 nel territorio del Schneifel (Rheinland-Pfalz) tre Vigili del Fuoco vengono ricoverati a causa di una granata incendiaria. Stesso giorno in Polonia a Prusy (Świętokrzyskie), un 14-enne trova una granata inesplosa e la trasporta presso la propria abitazione. La madre del ragazzo vede la bomba e allerta immediatamente la Polizia. Il 25 in Messico, a San Nicolás de los Garza (Nuevo León), un giovane tenta di aprire un residuato con un martello, ovviamente l’ordigno detona ferisce gravemente l’incauto. Il 30 un incendio boschivo investe il territorio polacco di Poźrzadło (Lubuskie). Numerosi gli ordigni interrati esplosi. In Serbia a Niš, una bomba a mano (residuato) uccide un 53-enne. L’incidente accade nella residenza di famiglia.

Agosto

In Vietnam a Phieng Tieng (Son La) il 3 due bambini di 7 e 5 anni, trovano una bomba inesplosa e inizia il loro gioco, ma l’ordigno esplode e li ferisce gravemente. Il 4 A Vicenza precisamente al civico 480 della strada di Bertesina, qualcuno abbandona una granata d’artiglieria. Tutto ciò provoca panico tra i residenti della zona. Incendio boschivo tra i territori di Esperia e Sant’Apollinare (Cassino), esplodono ordigni interrati. Germania. A Grunewald (Berliner), un incendio boschivo investe anche un deposito di smaltimento di ordigni inesplosi. I Vigili del Fuoco non possono intervenire a causa delle potenti esplosioni. Aosta. A 3.090 metri di quota, sul ghiacciaio del Ventina, a Cervinia è rinvenuto un ordigno risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale. Trovata una bomba della seconda guerra mondiale nella discarica di Bellolampo a Palermo. Il 7 In Francia a Bergerac (Nuova Aquitania) in un deposito di munizioni esplode una granata. La detonazione provoca il ferimento di 8 lavoranti e tra questi uno in modo molto grave. Sempre in Francia il 13 un incendio boschivo che travolge parte del territorio della Maine-et-Loire, (Paesi della Loira) provoca l’esplosione di ordigni interrati. Il 16 nel Bohain-en-Vermandois (Aisne) una granata al fosforo ferisce un residente. Il 19 in Spagna un rogo boschivo inteste il territorio di Bejís (Valencia) i Vigili del Fuoco intervengono con grande difficoltà a causa delle numerose esplosioni di bombe interrate e risalenti alla guerra franchista. Stessa difficoltà per i Vigili del Fuoco della Repubblica Ceca. L’incendio circonda l’area boschiva di Karlovy Vary (Boemia). Numerosi i boati delle bombe sepolte. In Cile a Caldera (Atacama), il 23 un uomo è investito dalle schegge di un ordigno bellico che smanetta. 27 agosto: San Stino di Livenza (Vicenza) due amici in un garage, smanettano un ordigno bellico. La bomba esplode. Uno dei due muore all’istante. L’amico a causa delle gravi ferite riportate morirà l’8 settembre. Germania. Il 30 a Elspe (Nordrhein-Westfalen) l’esplosione di un residuato interrato danneggia gravemente una macchina agricola. Lazise (Verona), bambino trova una bomba in spiaggia.

Settembre

In Afghanistan, l’8 settembre nel territorio del Lashkar Gah (Helmand), trovano una bomba inesplosa e decidono di mostrarla ai compagni di classe. Infatti l’ordigno detona nell’aula scolastica. L’esplosione uccide 4 bambini e ferisce altri tre studentelli. A Milano Il 10 un 34-enne resta gravemente ferito dall’esplosione di un residuato bellico in suo possesso. Desenzano del Garda (Brescia) dopo l’esibizione delle Frecce Tricolore, uno spettatore nota una granata abbandonata sul lungolago. In Ciad, il 14 un l’esplosione di un residuato uccide due giovani. Cossato (Biella) In una strada di campagna un residente trova una granata inesplosa parzialmente interrata, l’uomo allerta le Forze dell’ordine. In spiaggia a Gallipoli (Lecce) un tizio munito di metal detector, trova una bomba a mano, non riconosce l’oggetto e lo butta via. Il gestore del lido vede il residuato e allerta le autorità. La bomba non è esplosa (sicuramente) perché durante il lancio non ha perso le linguette di sicurezza. Gradisca d’Isonzo (Gorizia). Un 34-enne maneggia un ordigno bellico, la bomba esplode. L’incauto perde una mano. Le Forze dell’Ordine giunte sul posto trovano una carriola colma di bombe. Abbiategrasso (Milano) dal Naviglio in secca spunta un residuato bellico.

Ottobre

Il 9 un importante incendio investe l’area boschiva tedesca di Bad Honnef (Köln), numerose esplosioni di ordigni interrati. Il 20 in Polonia a Elbląg (Warmińsko-Mazurskie), l’esplosione di un residuato bellico situato sulla sponda del fiume, ferisce gravemente un lavorante. Il 24 a Desenzano del Garda (Brescia), Bambini trovano una bomba in spiaggia. Il 25 in Francia a Tours (Centro-Valle della Loira) un ordigno lacrimogeno intossica in lavoratore.

Novembre

Il 7 a Polpenazze del Garda (Brescia), un 20-enne utilizza un residuato bellico come “martello”, l’ordigno esplode e ferisce il ragazzo. In Francia a Courseulles-sur-Mer (Calvados), un uomo raccoglie un sasso colorato e lo infila in tasca. Ma la pietra è un pezzo di Fosforo che ustiona gravemente l’uomo. Polonia. Il 15 a Słubice ((Lubuskie), l’operatore di una terna, durante operazioni di scavi dalla benna della macchina vede apparire una bomba d’aereo da 250 libbre. Portici (Napoli). Bombe inesplose abbandonate sulla rampa d’ingresso dell’Autostrada. Il 19 il phnompenhpost.com specifica che nell’anno in corso in Cambogia le vittime da Uxo sono state 40. Il 26 a Marle (Aisne), un ordigno al fosforo ferisce un lavoratore frrancese.

Dicembre

 Il primo dicembre a Torino, una bomba a mano (residuato bellico) esplode e ferisce un operaio. La detonazione è avvenuta nel momento in cui la vittima con una pala sposta delle macerie e materiali di risulta. Stesso giorno in Germaania ad Haiger (Hessen), un 14-enne trova un residuato bellico. Il 12 a Stoccarda (Baden-Württemberg), l’esplosione di un residuato bellico ferisce 5 lavoranti. Il 13 a Terracina (Latina) è rinvenuta mina in spiaggia. Stesso giorno in Argentina a Buenos Aires, un 57-enne vorrebbe aprire un residuato, la bomba esplode e uccide l’uomo.  Rapallo (Genova) 30 dicembre. Sposta un tubo e poi si accorge che è un ordigno. 22 dicembre Varsavia (Mazowieckie). Un ufficiale è ferito da un ordigno bellico ricevuto da un amico ucraino.

Vicende ripetitive? Certo. Infatti sembra d’aver riscritto (o riletto) i riassunti degli anni precedenti, ciò che muta sono esclusivamente personaggi e località. Ma questa non è una colpa di chi scrive o di altri addetti ai lavori. Ma delle guerre che hanno sempre trasformato i territori in eterne discariche belliche. Terre senza confini permeate di ordigni inesplosi che senza fretta attendono di portare a fine il compito per cui sono stati studiati e costruiti. In Italia, noi dell’Associazione Nazionale Vittime Civili di Guerra e con l’appoggio dello Stato Maggiore dell’Esercito, realizziamo convegni rivolti a questo problema, abbiamo anche il Sostegno del MIUR, del Ministero del Lavoro. Abbiamo iniziato con Conoscere per Ri-Conoscere, il De-Activate, Testimoni di Pace, Stop alle bombe sui Civili e tante altre campagne contro ogni tipo di conflitto che generano ciò che vediamo in Ucraina, Yemen, Siria, Somalia etc.etc. Carissimi quest’anno non chiudo con nessuna statistica di feriti o morti.
