A 16-year-old boy and his friend were killed while their companion was injured when the rifle grenade they were playing accidentally exploded in Sitio Tawid, Barangay Tinago, Inopacan, Leyte. Inopacan police chief Police Capt. Daisy Hallasco identified the fatalities as Robert Degorio, 16, and Alfred Alva, 18, and the survivor as Gleen Miguel Accion, 19. Hallasco said that an explosion was heard by neighbors from Degorio’s house, prompting barangay officials to call the police.
