6月に豊見城市内で見つかった不発弾の処理が6日朝行われました。不発弾は6月下旬に見つかった沖縄戦当時の長さおよそ44センチ、重さ35キロのアメリカ製艦砲弾1発です。作業は半径88メートル以内の住民3世帯10人へ避難を呼びかけ、道路の交通を規制して行われ、午前8時すぎ陸上自衛隊の不発弾処理隊が信管を破壊し、およそ30分後、終了しました。陸上自衛隊によりますと、不発弾処理隊の出動は7月は96件あり、本土復帰後の処理件数は3万9118件だということです。

警察は「不発弾を見つけたら近づかず連絡してほしい」と話しています。
