At least two children died and three more sustained injuries in a landmine explosion in southern Kandahar province, officials said Saturday. The incident happened in the Taghrak area of Shah Walikot district when a landmine allegedly planted by anti-government gunmen exploded yesterday, Samim Khpalwak, spokesman of Kandahar governor, told AIP. He said two children died and three wounded in the explosion, adding the victims were between seven 10 years of age.
