A construction site was temporarily evacuated Tuesday afternoon when crews uncovered a military training device at the site off POW-MIA Memorial Parkway, according to an officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The hazardous devices unit responded, and the device was rendered safe and removed. The were no injuries or property damage.
