A controlled explosion involving a Second World War-style mortar bomb took place in the Rhos mountain area at around 5.45pm yesterday (Friday). North Wales Police said that the bomb was discovered by a member of the public, with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team quickly on scene to deal with the incident.
