A bomb squad had to be called out to a Treasure Coast beach after someone noticed something suspicious and called 911. The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad says the object was a detonator drop bomb, potentially from World War II. It’s believed the ordnance washed ashore. They were able to safely remove it from the sand and take it to an undisclosed area.
