Paul Price, 41, and wife Marie, 43, fished out a 70-year-old hoard of wartime weapons which included the American made Thompson submachine guns. The pair had been magnet fishing along the Grand Union Canal in Warwick when they discovered the stash of broken down firearms and ammunition last Friday (6/7). After piecing them together at home, they were gobsmacked to find they had uncovered eight guns, including rifles and revolvers. Forklift truck driver Mr Price, of Rugby, Warks., said: “We are so happy we found them. It was a very exciting afternoon, we were blown away.
