Ve čtvrtek 27. července odpoledne kontaktoval policii prostřednictvím linky 158 muž, který uvedl, že při podmítání pole v katastru obce Čehovice v místě zvaném „Zádní díly“ našel pravděpodobně granát.
Podle pyrotechniků je největší chybou prvě manipulace s municí. „Je potřeba si uvědomit že byla vyrobena hlavně proto, aby zabíjela. Rozhodně by s ní neměl nikdo manipulovat, nebo si s ní hrát. Riziko výbuchu je velké.
