An unexploded World War II bomb found off Lornie Road on Nov 21 was found safe to handle and has been removed for disposal by the Singapore Armed Forces’ bomb disposal unit. When contacted, the police said they were alerted at about 9.15am to a suspected war relic discovered at 239 Sime Road. The address is that of country club Keppel Club. No danger was posed to the public, the police added.
