Police and the Ministry of Defence were called to a Devon village after an unexploded World War Two bomb was discovered in a resident’s garden.Officers attened the scene on Colaton Raleigh on Monday, May 27, and had reportedly stopped members of the public from entering the village as the incident unfolded. The bomb was removed and detonated at around 5:35pm. The force incident manager (FIM) for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed officers attended the scene, adding the bomb was successfully removed and detonated.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
