The Navy will be removing unexploded ordnance in the Guatali Falls in Piti, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 28, according to a release from the Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Office. For the safety of the surrounding community and out of an abundance of caution, the public is advised to remain clear of Guatali Falls and the exclusions areas, which extend out to 550 meters from the falls, during operation. Additionally, residents should not be alarmed if they hear or see increased activity, according to JRM.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
