An unexploded ordnance that washed ashore Saturday at Hulopoe Beach Park on Lanai will be rendered safe by an Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, police said. State Department of Land and Natural Resources called police at about 6 p.m. Saturday after locating the ordnance, police said. Police secured the area and contacted the Army unit, which will render the ordnance safe later, police said.
