Unexploded munition has been found on a Scots beach as a bomb squad race to the scene. The discovery was made on the beach of Kentra Bay, also known as the Singing Sands, in Lochaber on Saturday, July 9. Salen and Kilchoan Coastguard Rescue Teams were initially tasked to military ordinance, a recent Coastguard social media post reads. After the items were identified, they were subsequently destroyed by Royal Navy Ordnance disposal team. Images shared by the Western Isles, Skye and Lochaber Coastguard show several rounds laid on the beach next to a warning sign.
