An unexploded grenade found in the Cotswolds today (October 19) led to the army to be called in. A tweet from Stroud Police explained that the explosive was found in Minchinhampton this afternoon. As a result, officers ended up closing a road in the market town while the grenade was inspected. Police confirmed that a British Army team was among the emergency services called out to the scene. It was later confirmed that the military had removed the unexploded grenade safely, allowing the road closure to be lifted. The force also posted a couple of pictures of the grenade on X, formerly known as Twitter.
