Suffolk Fire & Rescue and Suffolk Police investigated an unexploded ordnance at Beamon’s Mill Townhomes on Beamon’s Mill Trail on Tuesday morning. Dispatchers were notified at 9:03 a.m. At 9:50 a.m., Suffolk Fire & Rescue advised that the Virginia State Police Bomb Squad took possession of the item, noted to be a grenade, for further evaluation. No one was injured.
