Police were called to Walcott Beach at 11.48am yesterday (May 24) following reports of an unexploded ordinance device. Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team arrived on the scene at 3.40pm The bomb was removed at 4.15pm yesterday (May 25) and police have removed the cordon in place.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
