Soignies. Cet obus d’une taille de 7,7 centimètres et d’origine allemande a été découvert à l’occasion d’un chantier en cours dans la rue Edouard Anseele à La Louvière. La Défense belge, compétente en matière de désamorçage, a été sollicitée. Étant donné le caractère potentiellement dangereux de l’engin, les militaires ont décidé de le transporter dans une zone sûre, en l’occurrence un terril, où il a été détruit. La police de La Louvière a assisté la Défense dans ses opérations.
DOVO waarschuwt daarom voor het potentieel gevaar en raadt aan om de politie te contacteren bij aantreffen van deze of andere oorlogstuigen. “In dit geval gaat het om een afgevuurd projectiel met gewapend ontstekingsmechanisme. Elke aanraking of verplaatsing kan gevaarlijk zijn”, waarschuwt DOVO.
