It is reported that children who had gone to collect firewood, saw the unexploded rusty projectile which had been abandoned for some time. The naive youngsters took it to a butcher who chose to use it to weigh beef – unaware of what it was and the danger it posed to him and other community members. Fortunately, one of the keen residents saw it and informed the local authorities in time for immediate action. According to Ben Lubega, the Nakasagazi LC I chairman, they immediately informed the police and the army to take over the situation.

Territorio Sembabule, Comune Kawanda. Nell’area boschiva della località Nakasagazi, ragazzini mentre raccolgono legna, tra la vegetazione trovano un proiettile d’artiglieria inesploso. I giovani non comprendendo il pericolo a cui si espongono, raccolgono la bomba e la trasportano in paese, quindi la regalano a un venditore di carne. A Sua volta il macellaio inizia a utilizzare l’ordigno come contrappeso della bilancia durante la vendita della carne. I giorni trascorrono con il locale del commerciante involontariamente e incoscientemente avvolto da questa strana e azzardata roulette russa azionata dal contrappeso utilizzato. Una mortale spada di Damocle nel piatto della bilancia. Tutto ciò termina quando nel locale entra un cliente che riconosce la vera identità di quel contrappeso. Il cliente chiarisce al commerciante cosa sia quell’oggetto e allerta subito la Polizia. Sul posto giungono gli artificieri i quali rimuovono e distruggono l’ordigno.
