An unexploded three-inch shell casing dating to the Civil War was unearthed Feb. 8, 2023, at Gettysburg National Military Park. Soldiers with the 55th Ordnance Disposal Company gently washed off the mud to allow park staff to photograph it. Unexploded ordnance and the people who blow it up is the subject of “Aftermath: The Remnants of War,” screening Tuesday at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock.
