Emergency services were called to the seafront at 11.15am this morning after Karl Monk and Robert Sercombe, both keen metal detectorists from Teignmouth, discovered what is believed to be a World War II unexploded bomb on the main beach at Teignmouth close to Saint Michael’s Church.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
