Bomb disposal experts were called out to Dalbeattie after a man found an unexploded bomb in his garden. Aaron Gibson was working in his garden in High Street on Saturday when he made the shocking discovery. After pulling the device from the ground, he called police, who in turn contacted the Royal Navy’s bomb squad. A number of homes were evacuated while experts removed the device, suspected to be from World War Two.
