In the territory of Pitsea, an english couple (husbanf and wife) are enjoy ingresso their favourite hobby: metal detecting. Dig after dig they find an unexploded device dated back to the second world war. He, or maybe she, warns the police that reaches the site with bomb disposal engineers, who finally destroy the bomb. The metal detectorist to the journalists: ” I have been doing this for three years, i have found many types of splinters, but I would have never thought to find a bomb!”. Naturally, this declaration has the same credit of the most famous liar in the world. Indeed it would be as if a mushrooms seeker, after finding many more champignon mushrooms than other types of them, would find a boletus and then declare:” I have been doing this for three years, i have found many types of mushrooms, but I would have never thought to find a boletus!”. As if a fisher, after taking a gilthead bream, would say:” I have been doing this for three years, I found anchovies and codfishes, but I would have never thought to find a gilthead bream!”. S.J.A.L.

He added: “I’ve been doing metal detecting for almost three years.
“I’ve uncovered bomb fragments and shells before but I’ve never found a whole one until last
David said: “It was such a surreal feeling when I found the bomb. You hear stories about people discovering unexploded old bombs but you would never think it will happen to you. I hadn’t thought about the dangers of it until the bomb squad told me a story of how a man discovered a timing device.
