A Virginia State Police bomb technician determined Tuesday afternoon that three Civil War-era ordnance were most likely to be live ammunition stored in the basement of the Siege Museum.
City officials called in State Police “out of an abundance of caution” to dispose of the questionable ordinance, according to Petersburg spokesman Clay Hamner.
