Peaky Dippers, an amateur group of magnet fishers, have released the YouTube video showing the moment they discovered the bomb shutting down an area of the riverside. The group reveal they were about to write off their visit to Worcester as a “terrible day” as they did not find anything of interest. That was until Nigel Lamford, age 51, pulled out World War One artillery shell on South Quay on Wednesday, December 28. Mr Lamford said: “I was just saying what a terrible day it had been, and then that” before the camera zooms in on the bomb.
