A north-east dad has recalled the moment he and his eight-year-old daughter ran for cover after unearthing a bomb on the beach while they were out metal detecting together.Chris Andrew and his daughter Breagha have been going metal detecting after the youngster decided she wanted to give treasure-hunting a go as a hobby. But the pair got more than they bargained for as they explored a beach in Ardersier near Inverness on Tuesday, after unearthing a 42cm long grenade buried beneath the sand. Police and the Coastguard arrived on scene before calling in an Army bomb squad to remove the grenade from the scene. It turned Tuesday’s innocuous expedition into a moment the 38-year-old dad will never forget.
