Wilson County. By Tony Garcia. Residents were asked to leave their homes in one Mt. Juliet neighborhood Monday morning while an investigation into a potentially explosive device occurred. According to Mt. Juliet Police, an “unexploded military ordinance” was reported at a home on Belinda Parkway near Southeast Springdale Road. Police closed Belinda Parkway Monday morning while emergency personnel went door-to-door to alert residents of the situation and to leave the area. Mt. Juliet Fire said the old device was discovered by a construction inspector in the backyard of a home and called it in. A military team came in and confirmed the item was inactive. All roads are back open.
