A metal detectorist found an unexploded bomb in a Port Talbot park. Cwmavon councillor Charlotte Galsworthy said the man had been searching Parc Siencyn Powell (also known as Parc y Llyn) on Sunday afternoon when he made the discovery. She said: “It was an enthusiastic metal detector resident using the park during the day. His metal detector began beeping and he called the police who came to inspect what it was. Once it had been identified a separate team came from Tewksbury, before they took it to a local farm where they safely exploded it.
