The Dry Canyon Artillery Range was used for army training in the 1940s. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) did a partial investigation in a very small section of the area and found six unexploded ordinances and 600 pounds of munitions debris. Due to the finding the USACE ranked the site as a very high risk to the public. The area will be studied and cleaned up during the closure.
