Police were called when Engineers working on the Tideway Project construction site in west London discovered the device which has been identified as a German SD 50kg bomb, a small armour-piercing ordnance dropped from an aircraft. The Port of London Authority said the suspected bomb measured 2ft by 1ft (60cm x 30cm)
