MAGNET fishers have claimed responsibility for a road closure near Sixways after they pulled an ‘unexploded bomb’ from the canal. It is the second time in a well Offerton Lane in Hindlip has been closed in both directions. Police announced the road near Sixways was closed at just after 1.45pm. West Mercia Police officers at the scene declined to comment.  Kingfisher Magneteers, a Redditch-based group of magnet fishers, found the bomb and claim it could be a Mill’s Hand Grenade from World War One.  Stewart Jones, from the magnet fishing group said, said: “Kingfisher Magneteers once again found an explosive device on Offerton Lane.
