High-powered bomb found in Karadiyanaru

Orientale. An unexploded high-powered bomb dropped by the Air Force from a Kfir jet during the war was found in a house garden in Karadiyanaru. Karadiyanaru Police said that the bomb was found by the owner of the house while clearing the garden with a backhoe machine. During the war, it has been revealed that there was a camp of the LTTE near the house. Therefore, it is suspected that this bomb was dropped targeting that camp, Karadiyanaru Police said. The bomb is about three and a half feet long and its diameter is about three and a half inches. Police said that after finding the bomb, the matter was reported to Court and the Special Task Force took the bomb to a forest area and detonated it.
