Beach cafe owner Lisa Clayton was horrified when she spotted the bomb there on Wednesday morning around 10am. Ms Clayton, 49, said: ‘We saw the police, coastguard and bomb disposal people on the beach so we went to have a look. ‘We were really surprised – we‘ve been here 11 years and had never seen a bomb here before.

In spiaggia a Herne Bay è rinvenuta una bomba rimbalzante (bouncing bomb), risalente alla seconda guerra mondiale e di fabbricazione inglese. Nel periodo bellico citato la zona è stata utilizzata per testare la potente arma. La gente del posto piuttosto perplessa nei confronti della vicenda giura di non aver mai visto quell’ordigno.
