An old hand grenade has been discovered during a clear-out of a house. The discovery was reported to officers just before 16:00 GMT earlier from an address on Hillside Close in Addingham, near Ilkley. West Yorkshire Police said a number of properties have been evacuated as a precaution and Army bomb disposal experts were on their way to the scene.
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
