Police are warning the public not to turn in guns, ammunition and explosives at police stations after a grenade was brought to the 41 Division station in Scarborough during the lunch hour Tuesday. Toronto police said the grenade was brought to the station, at 2222 Eglinton Ave. E., at 12:28 p.m. The explosives disposal unit was called to the scene and later deemed the grenade safe. Anyone finding guns, ammunition or explosives should call 911. Anyone wanting to turn in those items, should make arrangements with police via Toronto police’s non-emergency number at 416-808-2222. “We will come to you. Do not bring it to us,” police said.
