Thursday night residents told police they found what appeared to be a grenade that had been buried in their backyard. The department sent their bomb disposal team to the home near Shields and Hughes where they removed the device and took it to a safe location
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
