A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said that during a house clearance in Roseland Avenue in the Heavitree area of the city a suspected grenade was found. He said: “The police and EOD collected some items from the house including what is thought to be a grenade. There was nothing to suggest it is viable.”
