Powys- Brecknockshire (Breconshire)-Maescar. By Ruairi Walsh. Police were called out to the Dyfynnog area near Sennybridge after members of the public, who were enjoying a day metal detecting, stumbled on what appeared to be an unexploded grenade on their search for treasure. Dyfed-Powys Police sent out their explosive ordnance disposal team, a highly trained unit who deal with items that may be at risk of a dangerous explosion.

If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
