Les pompiers de la zone de secours Hainaut-Est sont partis de la caserne de Chimay en milieu de soirée, vers 18h50, direction la rue du Cimetière. “Sur place, les sapeurs ont confirmés la présence d’obus de couleur bleue, contenant de l’ypérite – du gaz moutarde – et encore armés”, détaille l’officier presse Michel Méan. “La police est arrivée sur place pour établir un périmètre de sécurité, une centaine de mètres ont été réservés autour de la tranchée qui avait été creusée.”
