Emergency services were called to the scene between Havant and Chichester. Trains were diverted or suspended as a safety measure. The area was later deemed safe by emergency services and lines were re-opened but trains are still delayed following the incident. A Southern Rail spokesman said: “The emergency services are currently dealing with an incident. They’ve received reports of an unexploded wartime bomb in the area between Havant and Chichester near the railway.
