“It definitely shook the house and it was pretty loud,” said Valerie O’Neil, who lives in The Farm subdivision, which sits across Carolina Forest Boulevard from the site where the old ordnance was discovered. “My mother and my son were here and we all ran around the house to make sure it wasn’t anything around our house that blew up.”
If you find anything that appears to be an explosive device, do not touch it, leave it where it is and call the police. We will contact the appropriate agencies to properly dispose of the item.
This World War II era bomb was found on a construction site in Carolina Forest in February.
