Contractors for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are combing through woods, trails and streams, in search of potential unexploded artillery left over after the World War II Army training facility called Camp Croft closed in the mid-1940s.

Tuttavia le autorità specificano che non c’è nessun pericolo per escursionisti, campeggiatori e visitatori. È chiesta cautela e attenzione le zone a ovest del lago Craig. In ogni caso mai raccogliere dal suolo oggetti sconosciuti o con strane sembianze. Nel dubbio allertare le autorità competenti del parco.
