Um kurz vor 1 Uhr in der Nacht wurde in Aachen eine Bombe aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg entschärft. Die Bombe war am Montagmittag bei Arbeiten auf einem Baugrundstück im Bereich Bendplatz entdeckt worden. Alle Sperrungen sind aufgehoben.
Auch von verrosteten Krieisrelikten und Waffen können noch Gefahren ausgehen. Beim Fund von Kriegsmaterial wird ein Sicherheitsabstand eingehalten und sofort die Polizei zu verständigen. Der Besitz von Kriegsrelikten ist laut Polizei allgemein verboten.
