Western Power Distribution said some of their workers made the discovery of an unexploded World War Two German bomb in Earl Sterndale. Many German bombs were dropped in Derbyshire during the 1939-1945 conflict and the vast majority of them detonated when they landed, but others that didn’t go off have been found since the end of the war.
