Police and bomb disposal experts have been called to a Buckinghamshire village after a gardener found a suspected World War 2 shell. Emergency services were called to the property in Chalfont St Peter earlier today (Wednesday, May 4). Experts determined the item was of no risk. It has now been disposed of. A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Called to a report of a WW2 shell found by a gardener at a property in Chalfont St Peter. 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal & Search Regiment attended and were quick to identify it was of no risk and disposed of accordingly. Thank you to the team for their assistance.”
