Authorities safely removed an unexploded ordnance from Fort Riley. Fort Riley officials said on social media around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29 that early this afternoon, construction crews discovered an unexploded ordnance (UXO) in the area behind Ware Elementary. Fort Riley officials said Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) has safely removed the item and the scene is now clear.
