Chichester Police made a statement on Twitter that said: “Police are responding to the discovery of a piece of Second World War ordnance in Hampden Place, Tangmere. A small number of surrounding buildings have been evacuated and a cordon has been placed around the area while specialist EOD teams remove it safely.”
