A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “Explosive Ordnance Disposal found that the device wasn’t viable and so the cordon and road closures have now been lifted.” A road in town has been blocked off due to the discovery of a bomb. Police were called at 10.18am today with reports of what is believed to be the discovery of an unexploded Second World War bomb down Weasenham Lane in Wisbech.
