On October 5, Senior Minister Thuch, inspected the demining activities in Choam Kravien commune, Memot district launched under “Samdech Techo Project for Mine Action” with the theme “Providing safe land, creating Smiles”. He confirmed that the demining work under the project was achieved 70 percent of the planned 4,687,317 metres, which is equivalent to 90 minefields. The deminers detected and destroyed 76 anti-personnel mines, 15 anti-tank mines and 1,080 unexploded ordnances. He added that today’s demining and demining work is the result of the efforts and attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Sen. During the inspection, the Senior Minister also brought greetings from the Premier and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen.
